What is “filk?” Filk is fannish or SFF-related music! It began as a typo in someone’s newsletter, and from there took on a life of its own. Frequently, it involves guitars. Many sci fi writers have done “filk.” Some famous examples include Theodore Sturgeon, Catherine Asaro, Larry Niven, Seanan McGuire, and Joe Haldeman.
